Defects inside and on the surface of blanks will be amplified during spinning forming. Therefore, blanks for metal spinning must comply with the following standards:
- Requirements for inner and outer surfaces of blanks
- No lamination, inclusions, cracks, porosity or other internal defects inside blanks; otherwise, spinning parts are prone to fracture and internal cracking
- Dimensional precision requirements for blanks
- Uniformity requirements for blank material properties
